What is the difference between a Dealer and a Reseller?+
A Reseller sells X-TAN products and earns commission. A Dealer gets exclusive territory rights, higher margins (30–45%), the ability to recruit sub-resellers in their territory and earn override commissions, plus access to corporate accounts and co-selling support. Dealers are B2B operators; resellers are typically individual sellers.
Is there any joining fee or security deposit?+
No. The X-TAN Dealer Programme is completely free to join. There is no application fee, no security deposit and no monthly retainer. You start earning from your first sale. Premium territory cities (Tier-1 metros) may have a one-time nominal territory registration — contact us for specifics.
How is territory exclusivity enforced?+
Territory exclusivity is enforced contractually. No other dealer is appointed in your locked territory for the duration of the agreement (minimum 2 years). If X-TAN receives a lead from your territory, it is routed to you first. Sub-resellers operating in your territory pay you override commissions.
Can I recruit sub-resellers?+
Yes — this is one of the core benefits of the dealer model. You can recruit resellers within your territory, onboard them through the X-TAN platform, and earn a 3–10% override on all sales they generate. Your sub-reseller network is an asset that earns passive income for you.
What is the minimum territory size I can apply for?+
The minimum territory is a district headquarters or equivalent administrative unit. Most dealers start with a single city or district, then expand as they grow. Regional Master dealers can apply for a full state territory once they cross the GMV threshold.
Do I need technical knowledge to be a dealer?+
Absolutely not. X-TAN handles all technical delivery, support and billing. Your role is business development — building your network, closing clients and managing your sub-resellers. We provide full training, pitch materials and co-selling support for technical conversations.
How are dealer margins and overrides paid?+
All earnings — direct margin on your sales + override on sub-reseller sales — are consolidated and paid on the 5th of every month via NEFT, IMPS or UPI. You receive an itemised earnings report breaking down direct sales and override income separately.
Can I transfer or sell my dealership in the future?+
Yes. A dealer territory is a transferable business asset. With X-TAN's approval, you can transfer, sell or assign your dealership to another party. The territory, client base and sub-reseller network you build has real equity value — it's a business you own, not just a commission agreement.
