CHANNEL PARTNER FAQ

What is the difference between a Channel Partner and a Reseller?+
Resellers are typically individuals or small businesses earning commission by referring clients. Channel Partners are established IT companies with their own teams, clients and processes. Channel Partners get territory rights, joint GTM support, MDF and deal protection — these are not available in the Reseller Programme.
Is there a joining fee or annual programme fee?+
No. The X-TAN Channel Partner Programme has no joining fee and no annual fee. We invest in you through MDF, training and co-marketing. You invest your time, team and market relationships. That's the deal.
What are the minimum requirements to become a Channel Partner?+
Your company should be a registered legal entity (Pvt Ltd, LLP, Proprietorship, etc.), ideally with some IT or technology business activity. We look for partners with an existing client base or clear market access, not fresh startups. Contact us — we evaluate each application individually.
Can we sell products under our own brand name?+
Yes. The channel programme includes full white-label capabilities. Your clients see your brand, your portal, your invoice. X-TAN is completely invisible unless you choose to co-brand. You control the client relationship entirely.
How does territory exclusivity work?+
Gold Partners receive district-level exclusivity and Platinum Partners receive zone-level exclusivity. During the exclusivity period, X-TAN will not appoint another channel partner in your territory and will redirect enquiries from that territory to you. Direct sales by X-TAN in your territory on existing accounts continue as normal.
How and when is margin paid?+
Partner margin is calculated monthly on all deals closed and renewals received. Payment is released on the 5th of the following month via NEFT, IMPS or UPI. You receive a full statement showing deal-level commission breakdown.
Can our own sub-partners or sales staff be included?+
Yes. Gold and Platinum Channel Partners can onboard their own sub-agents or sales staff through the X-TAN Partner Portal. We provide training for your team. Sub-agent commissions are your responsibility to manage — X-TAN pays you as the Channel Partner of Record.
Do we need to maintain any minimum revenue target?+
There are no enforced minimum targets with penalties. Tier levels are based on annual deal volume — falling below a tier threshold simply moves your tier at the next quarterly review, not immediately. We work with you on recovery plans before any tier changes.
